Poem: Full of Beans

Written at a time when I drank far too much coffee. ‘Impersonate a blender’ refers to an advert of the telly where a character was making noises in the kitchen pretending they were making fresh coffee.

Poem: Cool

When I was a child in the 1960s I used to watch the rain outside and also watch the condensation course down the window panes inside the house. I’d often invent races between one drop and another.

Thank You for all the likes and follows.

I just want to say ‘many thanks’ to all of you who have liked my individual poems and followed this new poetry based blog of mine. It is very heart warming that my old poetry is appreciated by strangers out there. I get very busy curating my theatre reviewing site and doing a full time day job but, inspired by your reactions I will be posting new poems on here as they occur. Again many thanks and do share my poetic blog posts. Phil Lowe

Poem: The Desire To Fly

Written on a trip to Cornwall taken shortly after my father had died. I have a fear of heights so sitting on the edge of a cliff with the waves crashing below was something I would avoid in other circumstances although I did appreciate the wild beauty of the shore line.

Poem: Snowflake Crystals

This is about the beauty of snowflakes and the crystalline patterns that make up their structure. The poem was also written when I was in love with a very special and talented person. It reminds me of times together and innocent play.
